Michelle Snay- Fabulous Phonological Awareness

Developing and enhancing children’s phonological skills is a vital aspect of literacy learning. This workshop defines and differentiates between phonological awareness, phonemic awareness and phonics. True phonological awareness can be done “with your eyes closed” or “in the dark”. Come learn new and engaging ideas for each part of the phonological awareness continuum.

Jamie White- ABCs: Let’s Learn to Read

Learning to read is a developmental process, not a checklist of isolated skills. In this session, preschool teachers will explore the foundational components of early literacy: oral language, print awareness, phonological awareness, and alphabet knowledge, through a hands-on, multi-sensory lens. Discover practical strategies and engaging activities that use movement, songs, visuals, and tactile tools to help children build strong alphabet foundations and a lifelong love of reading.
